Call Him Mine / Der erste Tote

Irish reporter Andrew and his Mexican colleague Carlos went to Poza Rica, Veracruz, for one of those "joyless but well-paid reports". After finding the mutilated body of environmental activist Julián Gallardo on their way back to Mexico City, they witness the body being disposed of by the Civil Guard. Despite massive threats, the two continue to investigate. When Carlos is killed, Andrew flees the country. But the death of Carlos, who was not only his colleague and friend, but also his lover, does not let him go. He returns to Poza Rica and researches the story of Julian Gallardo. Not only does he antagonize the police, the military and the cartels.
